Last night was a good night. I made potato salad and coleslaw to go with our Hamburgers and Hotdogs.
Sarah and Becca Hallen joined us for dinner. We haven’t seen Sarah for over a month because she has been training with the Army in Kansas and we haven’t seen Becca for over a year because she has been stationed in Italy with the Air Force. I am really proud of these two girls. I missed Sarah greatly, and Becca had some great things to tell us about Italy. It makes me want to visit there someday.
As a tribute to the lovely military women in our home (also because Sarah is a combat medic) we decided some time with the M*A*S*H 4077th was in order.
M*A*S*H is one our most favorite Television series ever. The witty humor and slapstick are always good for a laugh. Plus it is one of those shows where you become endeared to the characters. I always cry when Col. Henry Blake leaves and when Radar gets to go home to his mom. Ack! The show is so good!
My favorite line from the Pilot Episode is “I peeked at the end, Frank. The Devil did it.” (In reference to the Bible)
I believe this series is a must see for everyone.
