2013: January - March

Well, obviously my attempt to make myself blog everyday was a flop. Ha Ha. It isn't important now though, so I am going to re-new my attempt to blog at all.

To start, here is a month by month update for my year so far

January:
Kristy’s Birthday is the 3rd so we celebrated her. I started a tradition with myself, it felt weird not getting her a present so, every year I am donating the amount I would have spent of a birthday present to the Utah Organ Donors Association. When my family was at the hospital deciding whether or not to donate her organs I had a strong feeling that it was the thing we should do. Unfortunately we decided it was not the right choice for our family. I have regretted it ever since. She was a healthy, loving, giving person and I believe she would have chosen to donate if given the choice herself. I have since become an organ donor myself. That choice as well as the donations I give every year helps me feel like I am contributing to a cause I now feel strongly about.

February:
The first weekend we had two big events for my Cousin Brad’s family. One of his sons’s, Michael, was baptized on the 2nd and his other son, Thomas, was blessed on the 3rd. We had a big party on the 3rd with all of my Dad’s side of the family. We all met at their new house, it was nice, but barely held all the people.  My Dad’s family really needs to start renting out a hall for its events.
We learned the gender of Millie and Clayton’s baby the second week.  It is going to be a girl and Millie is so disappointed. Millie has always loved boy clothes more than girl clothes and wasn't thrilled about the pink and ruffles in her future. She made Mom and I promise not to buy too much of each.

March:
On the 4th I attended Andrea’s, one of my old friends, wedding. It was really nice. She had a gorgeous dress and an amazing venue. It is called the Zion’s Room (I believe) and had an amazing view of the city. I was wonderful to see her so happy.

The 13th was Janet’s 50th birthday so we had a small family party to celebrate. I decorated her living room and had everyone bring something that reminded them of her. It was really touching all the things people brought because most of it was made by her. She is so crafty and creative. She said that was the first time she has ever had decorations for her birthday and asked to keep them up for a while, I feel like I made her birthday just a little bit brighter because of that.

After such a wall of text I think we both need a break. I'll finish tomorrow.
